Why Must Read Night Garden Coloring Book (R.J. Hampson Coloring Books)?

I'm a self admitted coloring snob. I have no shame in it either. But I do have a bunch of these Amazon/createspace paper back coloring books. Sometimes the art is too good to pass up. I don't need to create a masterpiece on watercolor paper every single time. Sometimes I really want to relax and enjoy myself. I want some whimsical little pictures, no pressure to ruin a page in an expensive non replaceable book. I've been treating this like my little journal. It's my own private coloring with no pressure. The pictures are adorable and fun. Very akin to Maria Trolle and Hanna Karlzon. Neither of those women's art is my favorite but I can appreciate it. The pictures in this book appeal to me more. It's just a really good feel good book. And you get 2 copies of each image! This book is PERFECT for practicing and you can always pay $10 for another and it'll arrive the next day, can't beat that. I am also happy to share that it doesn't have that yucky black print on the back of the image pages. It really dulls the colors down so much. I don't mind seeing bleedthrough on the back of my pages, not a big deal. And I use a blotter page(s) as should everyone, so it doesn't bleed onto the next image. The black doesn't do anything to help and just dulls colors on the image. I know the older Fantasy Time Homes did have the black pages but this one doesn't thank God. I mostly use colored pencils in this but it being single sided makes it EXCELLENT to practice alcohol markers, provided you either remove it from the book or use cardstock under your working page. I tried using some Stickles and it worked fine. This paper isn't meant to take tons of mediums so try to he disappointed when you get it. It's an Amazon self published book for $10, you're not gonna get the highest quality paper. But it is a FUN book. The artists have 0 choice in which paper is used when the self publish a book through Amazon. Please try to remember that when writing reviews. It is what it is but this book is super cute and the possibilities are endless, you just may have to use some work-arounds.
