Why Must Read Complete Book of Chess Strategy?

I think this book is the fastest route to reasonable amateur chess that I have read and so I want my chess-playing friends to read it. I strongly recommend Silman's chess books (he has a few: The Amateurs's Mind, Reassess Your Chess, this one and I think one other). These days you can't beat computers for chess tuition but computers don't always tell you the "why." They may tell you the "tactical why" but they don't tell you the "strategic why." I think Silman's books fill that gap.
