Why Must Read The Story of Rock?

We received this book as a gift, so we had to turn around and buy a copy we could give as a gift. The illustrations in this book are great and as true to form as possible while still appropriate for the eyes of kids. It introduces kids to musicians they're not going to be hearing on the radio much, like David Bowie, Janis Joplin, Chuck Berry, Tina Turner, Weezer, and a bunch more. It's advertised for ages 4-8, but my 23 month old absolutely loves it just as much as my 5 year old. We've made a road trip playlist that includes some of the songs from the artists in this book and the 5 year old really digs it. This book has made it's way into our "must buy for every kid" collection.
