In this day and age of debit cards and "On Line Bill Pay" I suspect it is very rare for anyone to keep a check register. My daughter hates math. She is 13 and now has a debit card account which is where I deposit her allowance. I do this as a prerequisite to managing her future credit cards. So, I purchased this book to teach her how to keep a register of her account based on her receipts. Prior to an allowance deposit, I will inspect the book and see that it is kept accurately up to date. ....turns out she does need to learn simple math (Even though I honestly don't understand most of what they are teaching these days). At any rate, this book is an excellent book for said purpose.
