Download NowThis is the last pokedex book I will ever pre-order. I'll stick to online resources from now on. This book was released roughly 1.5 months after the game came out, it contains numerous errors, it is out of date, the actual listing of each pokemon with their moves is poorly laid out with microscopic print and ugly pixelated art, and large sections of the book are copy/pasted from the strategy guide. Many people buy pokedex books for the ability reverse look up, the move reverse look up, and the pages which show you pokemon stats and moves it can learn. Instead, the first 187 pages are largely devoted to printing the in-game pokedex entries for each pokemon. These could have easily been combined into a single entry for each pokemon with moves, abilities, catch location(s), etc as they have done with past books. This book looks and feels sloppy, rushed, and disjointed. Looking for the hidden abilities of the starters and fossil pokemon that will be released in the near future? Too bad, not here. Looking for the gigantamax pokemon that will be released in the near future (e.g. melmetal and toxtricity)? Too bad, not here. Looking for the pokemon that aren't listed in the in-game pokedex, but can be transferred to the game using Pokemon Home? Too bad, not here. After I noticed there were also errors in the moves pokemon can learn, including moves GameFreak removed from generation 8, I gave up and threw the book in the recycling bin. A terrible product that fails technically and artistically.
