An updated edition of the New York Times bestseller, featuring 12 new recipients and a new foreword by Bradley Cooper Eight veterans from the war in Afghanistan have been awarded our nation’s highest honor for valor in combat since the publication of the third edition of Medal of Honor, including Edward C. Byers, Jr., the newest living recipient and a member of Navy SEAL Team Six, and Clint Romesha, author of the New York Times bestselling Red Platoon. Download NowI ordered two of these books. One for myself, an Air Force veteran, and one as a gift for my father-in-law, an Army veteran. This book literally gave me chills. It contains passages from Presidents Obama, George W. Bush, George H.W.Bush, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton. The preface contains a fascinating history on the the origins of the Medal, followed by 156 entries profiling some of the 3,500 Medal winners. The photographs are stunning and the content reminds me of why we serve, what it means to serve and to never forget those who gave some and those who gave all.
