Why Must Read Federal Income Taxation [Connected eBook with Study Center] (Aspen Casebook Series)?

This is a review for the combined - and very expensively priced - combination of casebook and online learning environment. Do not buy this. While the physical casebook is up to date, the online environment uses sources such as the E&E that are 5+ years old, do not reflect current law, and will mislead you going into exams. The publisher expects you to spend $$$ on current supplements, and their advertising of an up-to-date learning environment on the book's jacket is misleading and factually untrue. I'll update this review if and when the publisher and the authors rectify this situation. In the meantime, there is no reason to buy the "Connected Casebook" from the publisher: buy a cheap copy of the book without the access code elsewhere, or go for Amazon rental (which typically excludes that). [Edit. One of the authors promised to look into the matter, so there's reason to be hopeful the product will soon be up to date.]
