Why Must Read 101 Fun Things to Do in Retirement?

I was going to send this as a Christmas present because my girlfriend’s (only been dating for a few months) mom recently retired. Had I not look through the first few pages of this book, her mom would have thought this is some kind of a sick joke and I am probably a pathetic pervert with a distateful sense of humor. The author’s idea of “fun” is telling people they should knit nude suits. On page 22 lays a large photo of a male wearing a knitted elephant underwear with its nose hanging out. Might want to do some research on your audience’s demographics before assuming most of them are just a bunch of bored and horny senior citizens. On top of that, most of the activities mentioned and “suggested” in here are no brainers - going to the museums, take on archery, painting, reading, going to live music, etc. I didn’t want to read further because it might tell me to drink more coffee, walk, take a shower, floss, breathe, scratch my nose, or blink my eyes because those are what educated and accomplished retirees tend to forget how to do and need to be reminded again. Yeah, I want my money back.
