Why Must Read Executor's Guide, The: Settling a Loved One's Estate or Trust?

I am a NOLO addict. I have a ton of books from upon which I have relied to navigate through a wide range of legal matters very successfully. However, this book was a disappointment. I am only handling a small basic estate with no real estate or businesses involved. Nothing messy. The book is definitely easy to read as expected however, it misses the mark on how to actually do the estate process and spends too much time on the lead up to it which all may have completed before needing this book such as funeral arrangements and how to set up a filing system. For example, I bought this book specifically to learn about "costs of administration" - what qualifies. However the book just said, "while handling the estate you will encounter unfamiliar terms such as costs of administration" and unbelievably does not define them or list examples. I am just left to still wonder. Also, I wanted to know more about timing of opening a small estate and whether it is better to wait a while before opening which may potentially allow creditors' time to run out to file a claim before they are notified. Not getting advice like this from this book. It is basically stating the very very obvious that most will know without any experience at this like me. On the other hand, I found these two other related NOLO books extraordinary and invaluable- although they are meant for the process prior to death. These are a MUST and helped me even better understand the process after death as the executor. Plan Your Estate (Clifford) and Get It Together (Cullen).
