Contrary to what other reviewers have posted, there is nothing in CA Government Code 8206 that prevents you from using this journal. Furthermore, I contacted the CA SOS office and explained the format of the journal and that it DOES NOT provide for a multiple signatures for the same signer in same signing, but rather, it provides for ONE signature with the ability to indicate the documents notarize with pre-printed selections and I was informed it was in fact acceptable as long as all required information was indicated. The problem comes with the CA SOS annual newsletter interpreting CA GOV Code 8206 public request for a line item and basing it on the "traditional notary journal" not taking into account these new streamlined journals. They even have a photo of the "traditional notary journal" used as their example in the newsletter. But the governing LAW, is the CA GOV Code which requires that a California Notary Public maintain one active sequential journal which means if you use this journal from beginning to end and don't remove or add pages, it's a sequential journal. In addition, the code states that the journal contain ALL the information that this journal provides for. Contrary to what the NNA repeatedly tells us or what the CA SOS newsletter states, nowhere does the code say that Notaries are required to complete a "full journal entry for each notarization performed." even for same signer in same signing. The CA SOS issues a newsletter every year and they are way past due issuing it for 2021. I'm hoping when they finally issue it, that it will have updated guidelines taking into account all the new available journals.
