Download NowFirst, I greatly respect Deborah Lipstadt both as an individual and a scholar. I have read most of Professor Lipstadt's books, and always found her informative and her points well researched and soundly made. I have no complaints about this, her latest, book on these points. However, I found the approach taken in this book of presenting its information in the form of fictional correspondence among two made-up persons and Professor Lipstadt to be off-putting. A presentation of material through correspondence can be well done (for example Martin Gilbert's "The Story of the Jewish People: Letters to Auntie Fori"), but here that approach just felt contrived, and, at least for me, distracted from the content of the material being presented.
